Description

The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre features a national calibre gymnasium, weight training room, raquetball and squash courts as well as a 6-lane 25 metre competition pool, a 4-lane 25 metre teach pool, a leisure pool, toddlers pool, large swirl pool, water slde, warm wading pool and sauna. Wheelchair lifts and pool access stairs are available for all pools.

The Aquatics area is home to the Haney Neptunes and the Haney Seahorsers Swim Teams who host a variety of provincial and local events. We are also proud to be involved with many notable Archery and Rhythmic Gymnastic events in our gymnasium and Judo Competitions within our Fitness & Dance/Judo Studio.

The Leisure Centre also has a Childminding Centre, Volunteer Office, Concession, and both a Kinesiologist and Physiotherapist office conveniently located within the facility.

The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre is in the heart of Maple Ridge and is complimented by surrounding facilities like the Greg Moore Youth Centre, Arts Centre & Theatre, Municipal and Government Offices, Haney Place Mall and beautiful Memorial Peace Park.

Weather Information

Maple Ridge's climate is one of the mildest, enjoying the longest frost-free period and growing season in Canada . Spring and Fall can often be very warm and pleasant, especially in June and September. The District experiences an estimated 1,400 to 1,800 sunshine hours annually with 73% of the total occurring during April through September. Summer temperatures range from 22 to 28°C (72 to 83°F). Winters are mild, and if snow falls it doesn't stay long. Average low temperature for December and January is 2 to 4°C (36 to 39°F). The District receives approximately 1,150 mm of precipitation annually, with most rainfall occurring between October and March
